On the various "wine routes" are 66 vineyards, which pass through the slightly hilly landscape marked by olive trees, cork and stones. They can be visited for wine tasting, for eating and drinking and also for accommodation.
Around the vineyards you can discover a country rich in history, with ancient villages and towns like Évora, whose historical center is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Estremoz, a small town crowned by a castle with the royal palace, and charming villages like Monsaraz, which rises high on the top of a hill, shining white in the sunlight, giving a wide view of the enchanting landscape of Alentejo.
