The Silves Beer Fest is the current format for what was one of the most iconic Beer Festivals in Portugal - the Beer Festival in Silves Castle. Since it restarted in 2017 and after four editions, there is evidence of growing interest both among the public and potential exhibitors.

The most important gastronomy event in the municipality is usually held between the end of July and the beginning of August in the Largo de São Francisco. For 11 days, it will be possible to savour the best shellfish from the Ria Formosa and other regional specialities that draw on the recipes and traditions of the municipality of Faro. Daily entertainment will be provided by local and regional artists.
